Pirates came away with two wins this weekend, traveling to Plum City and Menomonie. Saturday we were led by Evan Bayer on the mound who threw 9 scoreless innings in a 1-0 win.
Today, we just wrapped up against Menomonie, in the weekend’s second win, 5-2. Eric Munson threw all 9 innings in the win. Plenty of hits to go around in this one, with doubles from Zach Dolan, Kevin Woebke, and Mike Lytle.
Play continues next weekend at home both Saturday and Sunday against Menomonie and Spring Valley. Overall record improves to 5-1, 3-1 in league play.

Pirates went 1-1 this weekend in league play, defeating Bay City 9-3 on Saturday and falling short to the Hubbers on Sunday, 9-5. League play will continue this coming weekend in Plum City, and in Menomonie Sunday, both 1PM start times.
Earlier New Richmond date has been made up for June 22, at New Richmond for a 7:30PM first pitch. Both New Richmond dates will be played away this year, with out home date to be made up next year. Elmwood reschedule is still TBD.

The season has gotten off to a slow start, no thanks to the weather. The first two league games have been postponed to later dates that have yet to be determined.
We just wrapped up the Plum City Memorial Day tournament this weekend as well. Saturday we played and beat Ellsworth 11-0 in 6 innings, with a shutout performance from Eric Munson on the mound. Sunday we faced off against Elmwood with another solid performance from Conner Cress on the mound to beat the Expos 1-0 in the second game of the tournament for us. Championship Monday was scheduled for 3PM this afternoon against the Fish, but with weather not cooperating, was cancelled. As always, thank you to the Plum City Blues for hosting! Always a great time!
Next up on our schedule we are traveling to Bay City on Saturday (6/1) and hosting the Hubbers on Sunday (6/2), both for 1PM start times. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Hello Pirates fans! The 2019 schedule has just been posted! There were a few changes to the SCVBL that were made this offseason, most notably with the Osceola Braves leaving the SCVBL and joining the Indy League and the folding of Hager City’s team. With these changes, each team in the SCVBL will be playing each other twice instead of the format of past years with the league being split into the North and South Divisions.
We’re excited for the season to get under-way and to be at the park with you all on our weekend summer afternoons! 2019 is going to be a good one!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the absence, we’ve had a few technical difficulties but are back up and running and wanted to keep you updated!
We’ve had a little bit of a schedule change due to some weather last weekend. With Plum City being cancelled we will be playing them on the normal scheduled day at home, this Saturday, July 14. In order to make up the cancellation we will be playing a double-header with them that day, which will be two 7 inning games. So be ready for a weekend full of baseball as we will play Hager City that Sunday afternoon July 15, at home as well.
Just to clear up a little bit of potential confusion, we wanted to make sure everything is clear for the Hastings, Elmwood, and River Falls weekend as well. There was a little playing around with the schedule to try to flip around some games that weekend so we would be able to play River Falls on that Friday night, in River Falls. This will not be happening anymore after a few conversations were had. What our schedule says now is what will be played.
We remain undefeated up until this point as we just got back from a win in Hudson this afternoon. Our current overall record is 9-1 and our win today brings our league record to 7-0. Thank you all for your support!
