Go Pirates!
Just a little reminder that we will be playing our make-up game against the Bombers on Saturday July, 8 at HOME (finally) at 1:00PM. As well as finishing up the weekend in Plum City, as scheduled. Hope to see you all there!
Go Pirates!
We traveled to both Ellsworth and Hager City this weekend, and were able to add two more wins to our win column. We beat Ellsworth by a score of 6-2 and Hager City by a score of 11-5. Winning pitchers on the weekend were Conner Cress and Eric Munson. Also added a couple more home runs to our total as well and both Trevor Moses (grand slam) and Clay Seifert both went deep against the Hubbers. Now we get a much deserved break, not having a game scheduled for this coming weekend. However, the SCVBL All-Star game, which will feature two or three Pirates will be held Saturday night (7PM) in River Falls. Other than that we are off until after the holidays and will be playing at home on July 8th for a make up game against Bay City and also the 9th against Plum City which will be an away game for us.
Two more wins this weekend pushes our overall record to 12-1, and a league record of 9-1!
Go Pirates!
We traveled to Osceola last night to take on the Braves. We were able to score 6 runs on the night and held the Braves to 3. This bumps our overall record to 10-1, and a league record of 7-1.
Action continues Saturday night as we travel to Ellsworth to take on the Hubbers at 7:30PM. Hope to see you all there!
Go Pirates!
We just finished one of the biggest weekends on our schedule, playing in Menominee, in Elmwood, and in Spring Valley. Winning all 3 games by scores of 12-4, 10-3, and 8-0, respectively. We had outstanding performances from Evan Bayer, Conner Cress, and Eric Munson from the mound. Our offense was able to bring across 30 runs this weekend and total a number of hits to push us past our opponents.
This pushes our overall record to 9-1 and a league record of 6-1.
Our competition continues this Wednesday in Osceola at 8PM.
Go Pirates!
The Pirates had another home game against the Hudson Rats this afternoon and were able to win by a score of 8-3. Clay Seifert had 3 hits and Evan Bayer got the win on the mound as he threw all 9 innings. This is the first game that the Pirates welcomed both Zach Dolan and Luke Murphy to the team. We continue play this coming weekend with 3 big games against Menominee (7:30PM), Elmwood (1PM), and Spring Valley (1PM), all away games.
As the Ellsworth Hubbers came to Prescott yesterday afternoon, we were handed our first loss. The team was down 3-0 from the start and slowly were able to make their comeback as the game went on. With RBIs from Mike Lytle and Clay Seifert the Pirates were able to take a 4-3 lead by the 6th inning. From then on the team wasn’t able to hold their lead and the final ended up 7-4 in favor of the Hubbers.
Our record now moves to 2-1 in league play, 5-1 overall. Action continues at home next Saturday against the Hudson Rats at 1PM.
The team has a limited number of hats that are not being used and are going to be made available for $20 a piece. If you’re interested, contact Mike Lytle directly or you can shoot him an email at mlytle24@gmail.com.
Thanks!
The team went down to Plum City Monday afternoon and were able to beat the Hudson Rats by a score of 2-1 in 8 innings (the tournament games were played as 7 inning games). New-comer Josh Marlow was the one who ended the game as he hit a walk-off blast to win the game. Eric Munson also had an outstanding showing from the mound, throwing all 8 innings for the Pirates. According to memory, this is the first time the team has taken first place in this annual tournament.
As a team, we would like to thank all of the fans that were able to travel down to see us play all weekend! We very much appreciate the support!
League play will continue this Saturday, June 3 as we take on the Ellsworth Hubbers at 1PM at Firehall Field. Hope to see you all there!
With the passing of this weekend, the team improves their overall record to 5-0 (2-0 in the SCVBL).
Last night the Pirates were able to advance to the championship game by beating River Falls 6-3. Connor Cress was the winning pitcher, throwing 6 1/3 innings. The Pirates are scheduled to take on the Hudson Rats today in the championship at 4:00PM.
